MCLE Coordinator

Details: The Chicago office is seeking a MCLE Coordinator.  The primary focus of this position is to provide high quality support to Kirkland attorneys by tracking MCLE compliance in Illinois. This position requires a high level of collaboration with attorneys and staff, the ability to work independently, and the ability to follow-up with staff and attorneys as needed. Essential Job Functions: Master and interpret MCLE requirements and regulations in Illinois; Assist Department Manager in answering MCLE inquiries, sending updates and communications to attorneys, alumni and staff. Monitor and alert attorneys licensed in Illinois when their compliance period is ending and assist them in identifying ways in which to obtain needed credits to stay in compliance; Manage and maintain program tracking information in MCLE database, Reqwired; Prepare and issue certificates of attendance for all Illinois-based internal, client and co-sponsored MCLE programs; Maintain contact with Reqwired; Maintain the PLI master list of Kirkland & Ellis employees;  Assist Department Manager in communicating with Illinois MCLE Board regarding annual accredited provider status, grace periods/compliance extensions and course approval Apply to Illinois Commission on Professionalism on an as-needed basis; Assist Department Manager in maintaining accredited provider status including the upload of quarterly PCAM reports; Liaise with HR and Attorney Recruiting to ensure all newly admitted and newly-hired attorney Bar information is entered into all MCLE systems; Alert loss prevention team when an attorney is not in compliance with MCLE requirements; Obtain prior MCLE information for lateral hires and update the MCLE database; Prepare status reports and certificates of attendance for attorneys leaving the firm and provide status reports for alumni attorneys upon request; Communicate and collaborate with other offices on logistical and technical support; Assist Managers and Training & Development Coordinators with MCLE documentation to ensure in-house and client programs meet Illinois MCLE requirements; Maintain archive of all attendance sheets and evaluation forms for internal, client and co-sponsored event; Prepare a quarterly course evaluations report; Maintain MCLE certificate files for attorneys; Assist Department Manager in preparing statistical reports and budgets for training programs; Update and maintain training and professional development content on SharePoint; Attend Attorney Training & Development Department staff meetings; Serve as back-up for training programs as needed; General administrative support to the Firmwide attorney training department as well as the local attorney training department as  needed;    Provide excellent customer service; Other duties as assigned.
